Highly Effective Methods of Obtaining N-Doped …

The design and fabrication of a new effective manufacturing method of heteroatom-doped carbon materials is still ongoing. In this paper, we present alternative and facile methods to obtain N-rich graphene with the use of low energy gamma radiation. This method was used as a …

The Fluorescent Quenching Mechanism of N and S Co …

The fluorescence intensity of N, S co-doped graphene quantum dots (N, S-GQDs) can be quenched by Fe3+ and Hg2+. Density functional theory (DFT) simulation and experimental studies indicate that the fluorescence quenching mechanisms for Fe3+ and Hg2+ detection are mainly attributed to the inner filter effect (IFE) and dynamic quenching process, respectively.

S, N Co-Doped Graphene Quantum Dot/TiO 2 …

S, N co-doped graphene quantum dots (S,N-GQDs) coupled with P25 (TiO2) (S,N-GQD/P25) have been prepared via simply hydrothermal method. The as-prepared S,N-GQD/P25 composites exhibited excellent photocatalytic hydrogen generation activities, with a significantly extended light absorption range and superior durability without loading any noble metal cocatalyst.

N-Doping of Graphene Through Electrothermal …

The potential applications in electronic devices of graphene (single atom, thick layers of graphite) would be even greater if it can be accessed in both p- and n-doped forms. Graphene nanoribbons (long strips only tens of nanometers in width) are readily p-doped by adsorbates from the ambient atmosphere. Wang et al. (p. [768][1]) show that when graphene nano-ribbons are electrically heated in ...

New J. Chem., 2021, Advance Article DOI: 10.1039/D0NJ04447D, PaperJavad Safaei-Ghomi, Zahra Elyasi, Pouria Babaei A new approach for the sustainable fabrication of a CuO/ZnO@N-GQDs nanocomposite as a powerful nanocatalyst for multicomponent reactions is demonstrated. N‐Doped Graphene Derived from Biomass as a …

The N‐doped graphene is obtained by pyrolysis under an inert atmosphere of natural chitosan, which is considered a biomass waste, followed by ultrasound exfoliation, without the need of oxidation and reconstitution. The main parameter controlling the residual amount of nitrogen and the resulting photocatalytic activity is the pyrolysis ...

Effects of Alumina Films on N-Doped Carbon …

Figures 4 and 5 show the effects of power levels and time periods for sputtering alumina onto N-doped carbon nanotubes/graphene composites on the charge specific capacity (0.1 C) and initial coulombic efficiency of alumina/N-doped carbon nanotubes/graphene for the coin cell, respectively. The charge specific capacity (597 mAh/g) and initial coulombic efficiency (81.44%) reached a maximum at ...

Synthesis of N-doped graphene by chemical vapor …

Here, we synthesize the N-doped graphene by a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. We find that most of them are few-layer graphene, although single-layer graphene can be occasionally detected. As doping accompanies with the recombination of carbon atoms into graphene in the CVD process, N atoms can be substitutionally doped into the ...

Gas adsorption on graphene doped with B, N, Al, and …

2009-12-8 · B- and N-doped graphene retain a planar form, while Al and S atoms protrude out of the graphene layer. We find that only NO and NO 2 bind to B-doped graphene, while only NO 2 binds to S-doped graphene. Al-doped graphene is much more reactive and binds many more gases, including O 2.

Ultrasensitive molecular sensor using N-doped …

As a novel and efficient surface analysis technique, graphene-enhanced Raman scattering (GERS) has attracted increasing research attention in recent years. In particular, chemically doped graphene exhibits improved GERS effects when compared with pristine graphene for certain dyes, and it can be used to efficiently detect trace amounts of molecules.

High‐Selectivity Electrochemical Conversion of CO2 to ...

For N‐doped graphene, the N dopant and adjacent carbon atoms become more active so that the binding energy with OCCO is increased to 0.64 eV with the separation distance shortened to ∼2.70 Å (Supporting Information Figure S10B). The tripling of the binding energy to 0.64 eV clearly indicates that the C2 intermediates, once formed, can be ...

First-principles investigation of carbon dioxide ...

2020-12-8 · After the adsorption, the minimum bond length of the M–N bond is the M–N 2 (4) bond of the CoN 4 doped graphene sheet. The smallest bond angles are the angles of N 2 –M–N 3 and N 1 –M–N 4 of the ScN 4 doped graphene sheet. The transitional metal atom with the smallest height above the interface is nickel.

Photovoltaic response of N-doped graphene-based ...

Abstract: In this paper, photovoltaic response has been found in an N-doped graphene based photodetector with metal-graphene-metal structure. Raman and XPS spectra indicate that nitrogen atoms are doped into the graphene after synthesized in a CVD system by introducing CH 4 and NH 3.With the semiconducting behavior of I-V curves, N-doping graphene exhibits an opened band-gap, which …
